Meet Recap

On Wednesday evening, the boys cross country team was back in action at the Webster Groves Invitational at Blackburn Park taking seventh place in the team varsity competition in the 12-team meet.

On the varsity level, seniors Jake Decker (13th place; 18:20) and Andrew Daily (21st place; 18:39) earned individual medals for the Wildcats. In the junior varsity race, sophomore Levi Buerk (29th place; 21:25) earned an individual medal.

The meet also had a separate freshman 3K race in which Yuto Wada (16th place; 11:50), Tanner Whitworth (26th place; 12:10) and Brennan Kapler (34th place; 12:26) earned individual medals for the ‘Cats.

The cross country team won’t race again until Saturday, September 12 in the Stan Nelson Invitational host by Northwest House Springs at the Northwest Early Childhood and Senior Center. The boys varsity race will begin at 9:00 a.m. with Junior Varsity and Freshmen races to follow later in the morning.

Directions to the Northwest Early Childhood and Senior Center from Hazelwood West: Take Highway 270 South for about 20 miles. Exit at MO Highway 30/Gravois West toward Fenton.
